Dr. Garcia attended medical school in his home country Bogota, Colombia, and he completed his residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Dr. Garcia received his fellowships in clinical rheumatology and immunology at Tufts, in tumor pathology at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and in hematopathology at Stanford.

Dr. Garcia served as the chairman of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Mercy Hospital, and he has worked with CellCarta since 2020 in general pathology and hematopathology.

His interests lie in pathology of bone marrow and lymphomas and their immune host reactions.
