Test Description
HER3 (c-erbB-3) is a member of the erbB family of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases, which also includes the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR; c-erbB-1), HER2 (c-erbB-2/neu), and HER4 (c-erbB-4). HER3 has no functional kinase domain and requires dimerization with another receptor to activate downstream signal transduction pathways.
