Test Description
Cyclin E1 (CCNE) is a protein coded by the CCNE1 gene which plays a key role in initiating DNA replication, controlling genomic stability, and allowing the cell cycle to continue through the restriction point into S-phase. Cyclin E1 binds to cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) and induces the expression of genes needed for cell division.
