Test Description
The MutL Homolog 1 (MLH1) protein is one component of a system of seven DNA mismatch repair proteins that work coordinately in sequential steps to initiate repair of DNA mismatches in humans. Deficiency in MLH1 is more common in colorectal cancer than deficiency of the other DNA mismatch repair genes.
