Test Description

Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2) is a dominantly inherited disorder that is characterized by the development of multiple nervous system tumors such as schwannomas, meningiomas, and ependymomas. It is caused by mutations or deletions of the NF2 gene, which produces a cytoskeletal scaffolding protein called merlin.
