DNAM (CD226)

Test Description

The Ig receptor superfamily includes nectin and nectin-like proteins, such as DNAM-1 (CD226), and are important for CD8-positive T cell activation. DNAM-1 has two ligands: Nectin-2 (CD112) and PVR (CD155 or nectin-like 5). DNAM-1 is expressed on a majority of T cells, NK cells, and macrophages and triggers NK cell-mediated death of tumor cells expressing nectin-2 and PVR.
