MTAP

Test Description

Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) plays an important role in the salvage pathway for the synthesis of adenosine. MTAP is expressed abundantly in normal cells and tissues. MTAP loss or deficiency occurs frequently in both hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, such mesothelioma, non-small cell lung cancer, gliomas, and pancreatic cancer.
