Test Description
Neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) is a 130-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein and coreceptor for extracellular ligands, including semaphorins and certain isoforms of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Neuropilin-1 is expressed by vascular endothelial cells (EC), plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and tumor cells. Neuropilin-1 helps prime immune responses, specifically regulatory T cells.
