T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain 1 (TIM-1) is a cell surface glycoprotein that promotes T-cell survival. TIM-1 is expressed on immune cells, injured kidney tubules, and tumor cells, most notably renal cell carcinoma (RCC), ovarian carcinoma, and lung cancer, with limited expression in healthy tissues.
