PVR

Test Description

Poliovirus receptor (PVR) is also known as CD155 (cluster of differentiation 155) and nectin-like 5. Originally discovered as a mediator of poliovirus attachment to the cell surface, this type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein member of the immunoglobulin superfamily was found to have important functions in adherens junction formation. PVR binds to nectin-like 3, interacting with ανβ3 and PDGFR to regulate contact points at the leading edge of migrating cells.
